Over the last 10 months, weight has slowly been creeping back onto my 5’5 frame. Throughout marathon training, I ate like a loopy woman because I was burning so many calories and running so many miles and I was hungry all of the time. The marathon was on February 15th and all of the miles stopped after that….however the marathon eating did not.
I found my garments feeling tighter and more uncomfortable. I finally stepped on a scale a month ago and realized I had to cease the cycle of consuming thoughtslessly, eating too much, snacking at night, and ingesting wine like it was going out of style.
I'm aware of various wholesome consuming programs (I hate the word food regimen). Paleo, Whole 30, Weight Watchers, and Wheat Stomach to name a few. I am pretty sure there are 100’s of different *diets* I might follow. The one which appealed to me presently is Beach Body’s 21 Day Fix.
The program also includes 2 exercise DVD’s and a schedule of when to do what. Every phase of the video is half-hour long and focuses on cardio, total body, lower body, upper body, pilates and more.
Lastly, the package I bought (on my own accord- no one asked nor paid me to jot down this publish) included a bundle of Shakeology mix. Basically, I am not an enormous fan of protein powders or any sort of powder that you just mix with different stuff to make a shake. BUT, this tastes OK and combined with the correct ingredients, it’s like dessert in a cup! Plus, it’s full of all kinds of fine stuff.
So let’s recap the 21 Day Fix: 21 Days of consuming the suitable stuff in the suitable quantities with 30 minutes of train daily. SOLD.

21-Day Fix Pros
I can do something for 21 days was my first thought.
What appealed to me about this program is the emphasis on portion control.
No calorie counting- I don’t have the endurance for that.
I can nonetheless eat whatever I need BUT I have to stay inside my allowance of cups.
There may be inbuilt deal with *cups* but I haven’t used any of those!

Day Fix seems to be massively popular. Thus, there are TONS of meal ideas on Pinterest.
Shakeology is a great shake/meal on the go full of goodness.
I like the ease and comfort of doing the exercise videos in my own residence at a time that works for me. Ya’ll know I can’t quit running so I've added running a day or to in addition to the 30 minute video.
21-Day Fix Cons
Let’s be sincere- the price. It's not low-cost to get began and if you wish to maintain consuming the shakes after 21 days, you'll have to buy more Shakeology. Yes, I perceive it is less than what you'll pay for a venti mocha latte at Starbucks, but it surely nonetheless hurts the pocketbook.
Meal planning and prepping. You must plan out your meals and snacks otherwise you will get stuck somewhere with none of the good stuff with you can be ravenous, ready to succeed in for the closest meals merchandise to shovel down (do you think this has happened to me?). Prepping your food goes hand in hand with the planning. It may take some time to get both of these right and I've but to master it…..but I will.
The dinner meals I'm cooking are definitely more healthy and higher for my family of five. Luckily, I've three kids whom are nice eaters. That being stated, most of our most important dishes include plenty of chopping of this and that and using a number of pans and I am finding dinnertime to take somewhat longer than usual. A part of it may very well be attempting to determine WHAT I'm going to make instead of planning it out ahead of time : ).
I am at the finish of Day 5 and have lots 5.5 lbs already. I am not sure if that's normal or if I used to be just consuming a lot crap that my body is thanking me for easing up and filling it with the good stuff. Whatever the reason, I am not complaining.
I took *earlier than* footage, but I am not courageous enough to submit them here (yet). Maybe on the end. Maybe not.
I have 15 days left to go and I am already considering doing a 2nd round. I'm loving the results so far. Even better, I am loving the management I have taken over my mindless eating, consuming an excessive amount of, nighttime snacking, and I've stated ADIOS to wine.
